Gwitna’q Culinary Experience

We are thrilled to announce the dates for our Gwitna’q Culinary Events for 2022!
𝗝𝗨𝗟𝗬 𝟮, 𝗝𝗨𝗟𝗬 𝟭𝟳, 𝗝𝗨𝗟𝗬 𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗨𝗚 𝟭𝟰
– EVENT DETAILS –
Guests will explore the Exploits River and paddle by raft to an excluded island to be greeted by Chef Steve Quinton, preparing a 4-course meal over an open fire and entertained by the talented Morgan Henstridge and friends.
Chef Steve is no stranger to culinary events around the province, a regular feature in community events and food festivals. He has trained under numerous mentors around St Johns, at the Adelaide Oyster House (shucking 1/2 million oysters), Vu Resto Bar, and the Brewdock, to name a few. Since breaking away on his own, you will find him roasting pigs, slinging out smokehouse barbecue, and private chef services under his private brand Q’s Barbecue & Catering.
A certified rafting guide will lead you down the Exploits River to enjoy a culinary experience.
A “sneak peek” into our MENU for the Gwitna’q culinary experience includes:
➔ Local steamed mussels with smoked sausage and corn
➔ A scallop dish
➔ Pork tacos with fresh in-season veggie sides from Marks Market
➔ Seasonal berry shortcake and more!
While you enjoy the great outdoors and feast on delicious food, you will be entertained acoustically by friends around the campfire.
