Rafting NL’s newest and most adventurous tour is a two-hour excursion that takes you to a scenic canyon in the heart of Grand Falls-Windsor featuring one of the most intense and memorable
sections of white water in Newfoundland & Labrador.
The tour begins at the Salmonid Interpretation Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor. After a quick briefing from your guide (and a final chance to back out), you will descend into the canyon down a long stone staircase while your guides zip lines the boats into the canyon. At the bottom, you will have the opportunity to start your trip by cliff jumping 15ft into the river! The cliff jump is optional but highly recommended.
On the river, we guarantee that you will be soaked the entire time, and may even be thrown from the raft. Just do what your guide says and enjoy the ride! This tour is short and sweet, so you can still spend the majority of your vacation enjoying the luxury of your chalet. Included in the price of this trip is a ticket to the Salmon Interpretation Center, which is well worth a visit to learn about the salmon that make the journey up the Exploits River every summer.
