The tour begins at beautiful Gorge Park in Grand Falls-Windsor. A short bus ride takes you across the historic trestle bridge where you will get a chance to peer 80ft down to the Exploits River and some of the amazing rapids you will be rafting. After a quick briefing from your guide (and a final chance to back out) you will descend into the canyon down a long stone staircase while your guides zip line the boats into the canyon. At the bottom you will have the opportunity to start your trip by cliff jumping 15ft into the river! The cliff jump is optional, but highly recommended.
On the river we guarantee that you will be soaked the entire time, and may even be thrown from the raft. Just do what your guide says and enjoy the ride! This tour is short and sweet, so you can still spend the majority of your vacation enjoying the luxury of your chalet. Included in the price of this trip is a ticket to the Salmon Interpretation Center, which is well worth a visit to learn about the salmon that make the journey up the Exploits River every summer.
